The Department of Neurology offers excellent care for various neurological disorders involving both central and peripheral nervous systems. Services are provided in out-patient and in-patient basis along with dedicated clinics for stroke and epilepsy.
The first in the country, the Acute Stroke Unit, provides excellent care for patients with acute stroke. Procedures like thrombolysis and thrombectomies are routinely performed and the first paper from Nepal on stroke thrombolysis based on our experience already published.
